WoW News: Mila Kunis Loves Playing Her WoW Character

– August 14, 2009Posted in: Misc: Fun News, World of Warcraft

Even celebrities have time to play World of Warcraft.

Let’s face it, I’ve raided Warcraft since release and I have heard every “I can’t do this” and “Please let me go” excuse ever written. Everything from “man my dog is sick” to my favorite flat out “my router was unplugged”. But then again, I haven’t raided my wow account with Steve Preeg or PvP’d with Mila Kunis.

Did you ever inquire about the girl, currently tanking your 25 man Naxx group, that you have raided with since release? Or maybe it’s 4:00 in the morning and you’re PvP’ing with a crazy 29 muppet in Warsong Gulch. They probably don’t speak much, vent or have hectic play schedules, but when they are there they put the work in and get the job done.

How mad would you be is your leader says “Sorry guys I can’t run Heroic Naxx tonight, I have to go pickup this Oscar trophy at the Academy Awards”.

Steve Preeg has worked on the digital effects team of some pretty big movies, including the Lord of the Rings, all three, and I, Robot with Will Smith. The World of Warcraft guild he leads has cleared all WOTLK endgame content so far except Sartharion and (current endgame aside) that’s pretty awesome. This year at the 81st Annual Academy Awards his small digital effects team took home Oscars in the visual effects category for the (incredibly creepy) work they did on Brad Pitt for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, beating the other contenders, The Dark Knight and Iron Man.

I was told that other celebrity World of Warcraft players include Dave Chappelle, William Shatner, Jay Mohr, Matt Parker, Trey Parker, and Robin Williams. But my favorite of all time is a lady.

Then there’s Mila Kunis, cool Mila. You may remember her as Jackie from That 70’s Show or Meg from Family Guy. Of course you know who she is or maybe there’s are some other little movies you might have heard of, Forgetting Sarah Marshal or Max Payne? See… Now you know, that’s right, Mila Kunis.

Mila Kunis is a Warcraft account addict. Yeah I said it. She completely mad out over World of Warcraft while promoting Max Payne last year on the Jimmy Kimmel late night show and not only does she play, but she runs a twink in the 19-29 battlegrounds and looks incredibly cute talking about it.

Macaulay Culkin is currently her guy of choice and he has an 80 paladin wow character or something, but forgets about that. Kunis, he can’t PvP like me. “Richie Rich” can bring it on full speed, 19-29, 80, or if he wants to get crazy… I have a level 1 twink bank alt I’ve been working on. All you have to say is let’s play.

How many other celebrities do you know that play World of Warcraft?
