Aren’t you tired of moving? Then maybe you should do what the other half of the people did in EverQuest and quit instead because EverQuest one year later is performing what some might say as an “annual” thing now with server merges.

Whenever there is a server merge, you know that the game is dying.

EverQuest is going through another yearly server merge where half the servers are merging with each other. Get ready t take your existing EverQuest Accounts and merge them into a new server which may give you the ability for a free character name change.

All customers who purchase accounts with us should know that if you see an account for sale on an old server, this just means that the character was playing on this specific server before the servers merged.

Here is the complete information on the everquest account merge.

What is the Faction Change service?

The Faction Change service is designed to allow existing characters the opportunity to change their designated faction (from Horde to Alliance or Alliance to Horde).

Does using my own credit card to pay for the faction change service put me newly purchased account at risk?

Using your own credit card to pay for services such as the faction change service is completely safe.

How do I begin the Faction Change process?

To begin the Faction Change process, please visit the Account Management page, select the Faction Change option, and carefully follow the instructions provided.

How much does this service cost?

Each Faction Change costs $30.00 USD (not including applicable taxes). This covers a single Faction Change for a single character.

When I change factions, can I select any race for the character?

You may select any race of the new faction provided that it is available for the character’s class.

How often can I change a character’s faction?

You may change a character’s faction every 60 days.

What happens after I initiate a Faction Change?

Once your payment has processed and after you have remained logged out of the game for at least 30 minutes, you will see a new button to the left of the character’s name upon next login. Clicking on this button will allow you to select the character’s new faction and race, as well as customize the character’s look and name. These steps will greatly resemble the character creation process.

To complete the Faction Change, press the button labeled “Click to change your character’s faction” and confirm your selections. If you do not wish to change the character’s faction immediately, you may do so at a later time.

EverQuest 2 is downsizing, and a recent email is showing that you will need to move your eq2 account if you are currently playing on one of these servers.

This also means that any account on our site will mean a “free” server transfer for anyone who buys eq2 accounts from us. You will be required to transfer your character upon entering the game. This is an added bonus for those wanting free transfers.

NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT

On or about September 22nd 2009 at 12AM (PDT), characters on the PvP server Venekor will be merged into the PvP server Nagafen with the goal of providing an even better PvP experience for everyone. Please check EQ2Players.com periodically for additional updates on this scheduled server merge.

Preserve your Legacy!
As a result of the merge, some character names may be duplicates; players who have logged in within the past sixty (60) days will be given priority in keeping their character’s name (see below for more details). Additionally, characters on Venekor that are below level 10, have less than one (1) platinum and whose accounts have been inactive for eighteen (18) months or longer will not be transferred to Nagafen and will be deleted as part of this event. Players whose eq2 accounts have been transferred from Venekor and any players on Nagafen whose names have been changed as a result of this server merge may need to restore their character’s user interface settings.

As you may have additional concerns related to this event, we are providing the following information (and will additionally post a FAQ page through our Knowledge Base) in an effort to answer as many of such questions as we can.

Server Merge: Venekor and Nagafen

Character Names
In the event of duplicate character names as a result of this server merge, priority will be given to the character who has logged in to the game within the past sixty (60) days; if both characters have logged in within the past sixty (60) days, then the character which has accrued the most gameplay time overall will retain its name. Other characters will have an “x” added to their names until a unique name has been determined.

Players with a character whose name has been affected by the server merge can type “/rename” in their in-game chat window and receive a one-time complimentary name change.

Guilds
Guilds with leaders will be transferred intact; however, guilds without leaders will not be transferred and will be deleted as part of this event. If you belong to a guild on Venekor which currently does not have a leader and you wish to have the guild transferred as part of this scheduled server merge, please submit an in-game petition (/petition) in order to resolve this situation prior to the scheduled date of this server merge.

Priority for guild names will be given to the guild with the earliest guild creation date, with such guild keeping its name and the other guild having an “x” added to its name.

Guilds whose names have been affected by the server merge that wish to change their guild’s name will need to use the in-game “/petition” command.

In Your Home
All items in characters’ homes will be inherited by the home’s owner during the merge. If you have alts that own any items, have designated any trustees to your character’s home or if you are a trustee in another character’s home, please arrange for the appropriate owner to retrieve its items before the server merge begins.

After the merge any vendor items in your transferred character’s house will need to be re-placed in your character’s new home.

You can use the house vault of the character which is being transferred for storage. The items in your transferred character’s house vault will remain associated with that character during the server merge.

Vendors
As noted above, your transferred character’s house items, including any vendor crates containing such character’s broker inventory, will need to be re-placed in that character’s new home.

Vendor Events (i.e. the logs of what was sold, to whom, when, etc.) will not transfer as part of the server merge.

Until your transferred character concludes a sale on the newly merged server, that character’s Total Coin Gain will display 0. After that character makes a sale, it will display the sum of the total amount of coin that such character has gained on both servers.

Each race will look close in appearance to the races in Last Fantasy XI. Even the names of the races are like the ones found in ffxi when you play your ffxi accounts : Hyuran, Lalafell, Elzen, Miqo’te, and Roegadyn. The classes are also shown, each with its own subcategories : Fighter ( Archer and Swordsman ), Magician ( Enchanter and Magician ), Crafter ( Blacksmith and Cook ), and Gatherer ( Gardener and Fisherman ). At the years’s E3 Expo, Square Enix commented FFIV will release sometime during 2010.

The little quantity of data surrounding Square Enix’s next MMO is shaping up nicely. I welcome the team’s dramatic exit from the common experience point system, and perhaps that implies FFIV will be more action-oriented. Also, the excess of latest information supports Colossally’s speculation the FFIV beta will start in September. I hope all this is true, because a last Fantasy game hitting its initial release window would be an once-in-a-lifetime event to witness.

According to a statement made today by Snowstorm , StarCraft II : Wings of Freedom may not be prepared to launch by the end of 2009, but should be released in the initial half of 2010. While this will not really be MMO stories, we all know Blizzard fans may have an interest in the update, particularly with BlizzCon right round the corner. Also, it seems like work on the new Battle.net is causing the delay. According to the post, “it has become clearer that it will take more time than anticipated to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is an essential part of the StarCraft II experience and may be an essential part of all of our games moving forward.” You can read the full statement below.

“Today we claimed that StarCraft II : Wings of Freedom won’t be prepared for release by the end of 2009. Over the last couple of weeks, it’s become clear that it’ll take more time than predicted to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is a vital component of the StarCraft II experience and should be an essential part of all our games moving forward. This additional development time will be critical to help us realize our vision for the service.”

“Our mission is to develop games that deliver a classic entertainment experience.”

“As a part of that commitment, we’ll always take as much time as wanted to make sure that our games and services meet the expectancies of our players and the standard for quality that we set for ourselves as developers. As we’re employed to make Battle.net the premier online gaming destination, we’ll also continue to shine and refine StarCraft II, and we’re looking forward to delivering a real-time system gaming experience deserving of the series’ inheritance in the first part of 2010.”

As always we plan to to buy and sell ffxiv accounts, ffxiv account, and continue to sell numerous ffxi account characters.

”Kids and Consumer Electronics II”, a new report release by the research firm NPD Group, refers to “kids” as children age 14 and under, reports that kids are more likely to have a PC over a television set. The survey they conducted polled over 3,500 households of parents of age 25 or higher with children in their household’s ages 4-14 years of age. The children in these homes surveyed were also more likely to own a video gaming console than their own television set as well.

The research also indicated that children ages between the ages of four and fourteen began using consumer electronic devices six months prior to the children of the same age group surveyed the year prior. Handheld gaming devices of the portable sort showed significant growth in usage, and purchase intent with older children in particular.

“Any business that markets or sells products to kids needs to be aware of the role of these CE devices in their lives,” said Anita Frazier, industry analyst, The NPD Group. “Today’s kids are digital natives, whose activities are fundamentally different than previous generations, making the information within this report critical for more effective product development and marketing strategies.”

In the NPD Group report, it rated the top personally owned by children products, reported by the households surveyed, were as follows:

1.40% owned video game systems
2. +40% owned CD players
3.31% owned television sets

Household owned personal electronics we highest for a personal computer (PC) at 94%. 90% of households with children ages 4 to 14 in the home offered that 90% owned DVD players with their televisions. Household owned televisions were also ranked highly in the report, at just below 90 percent.

It’s no secret that Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is one of the most addictive games of all time. Thousands of people have let their addiction detract from their work and social lives. While many psychiatrists and psychologists are using traditional methods, Dr. Richard Graham plans to help WoW account addicts through in-game treatment. According to the Telegraph:

World of Warcraft, while providing the best possible MMO entertainment has created havoc in many lives. People have actually become addicted to playing the game, numbers of people, to the point where it has ruined many facets of their lives. These addicted individuals have let their playing time interrupt and taken over many social lives, and has come before many of these individuals employment and livelihood. Many psychologists and psychiatrists remain faithful to tradition therapies to treat such addictive behaviors who are obsessed with their wow accounts. One doctor, Dr. Richard Graham has developed an in-game therapy treatment for such individuals. He has specific ideas on helping these types of addicts and believes that the maker of the game should financially contribute to their therapies. The Telegraph’s author states,

“He has called on Blizzard Entertainment, the company that makes World of Warcraft, to waive or discount the costs associated with joining the game so that therapists can more easily communicate with at-risk players in their preferred environment. In his latest interview by the “Telegraph” he is quoted as saying,
‘We will be launching this project by the end of the year. I think it’s already clear that psychiatrists will have to stay within the parameters of the game. They certainly wouldn’t be wandering around the game in white coats and would have to use the same characters available to other players,’ said Dr Graham.”

One can’t help but to acknowledge that communicating to these addicts in their effected atmosphere has common sense practicality, thinking that Blizzard Entertainment will financially support this program by contributing revenue is likely, “magical thinking.” However, not suffering from this addictive affliction it is not fairly judged by someone not suffering from this plight.

Dr. Graham may be on to a break-through type treatment. Still, I believe that Blizzard will likely not take any responsibility for the over addictive players. They are in the entertainment business, not the medical profession.

At E3, developers for Final Fantasy XIV stated that more than creating a bigger and better MMO, they wished to create a bigger and better “Final Fantasy.” They said this new generation of technology will give them the opportunity to represent the Final Fantasy series more accurately than ever before. What does that mean though?

We’ve got the wildly glorified Last Fantasy XIII, which is the first numbered entry on the Playstation three. It is positively going to bump the series ( and the hardware ) to new technological heights. On the other hand, The four Light Soldiers : Last Fantasy Gaiden for the Nintendo DS looks to be a total leap into the past. Both games are being designed using “Crystal Tools.” This is a set of development tools created by Square Enix to allow for maximum control over the process of creating a game.

There will be advances in customization and flexible. Apparently, this can make for an allowance for a much wider range of characters ( facial expressions, hair styles, body types ) and monsters ( for those tired of crab hunting ).

The battle system is another massive puzzle of Last Fantasy XIV. Developers of Last Fantasy XIII stated in this week’s Famitsu that magic and special attacks will be extraordinarily explosive and flashy. Taking a look at the scenes from the trailer for Last Final Fantasy XIV, we’ve got an enormous clash taking place on top of a ship and a very strong battle in the sky between flying didgeridoos.

It seems like there’ll be plenty of action with ffxiv accounts. But if this is the case, Square Enix wants to execute much more control for Computer users to cut back the load on their machines in order to reach a quicker refresh rate. Another alternative way Last Fantasy XIII is breaking away from the conventional is thru combat. Two of the main characters were featured this week, one battling with a boomerang, and the other with fishing wire.

Apparently, there’s going to be more method concerning something that sounds like what last ffxiv (ffxiv account) developers expounded about the vision for their MMO at EIII. They voiced their need to make combat more intellectual.

The expansion of each personality would be tied to the player’s weapon of choice. Now, in Last Fantasy XIII, the main personality Hope, who uses a boomerang, fights by amassing damage with multiple strikes. While Vanilla, supplied with fishing wire, hooks multiple lines into the enemy for enormous damage. Engaging, to say the least.

In Last Fantasy XI, you essentially just get to slap the enemy regardless of what the choice of weapon. Will your ffxi accounts afford the player this level of variety when controlling the actions of their personality in battle?

One other thing we all know about Last Fantasy XIII is that it’ll be a single-player experience. It’ll be an RPG thru and thru, with a long, engaging story. Developers for Last Fantasy XIV have also been clear that Last Fantasy XIV will supply much tougher solo play and be much more story-driven, like the Chains of Promathia growth for Last Fantasy XI.

However, there was heaps of talk lately about MMO-addiction and the way internet games can eat into private lives because of the enormous period of time that’s requied from their players. Will an MMO that’s story-driven need plenty of time to get the full experience and be pleased with the story?

Precisely how solo-friendly Last Fantasy XIV will be is not known, but we will be able to be sure Square Enix will wish to avoid some of the negative press it has received, both in Japan and abroad. Negative press about players’ lives being adversely impacted by Last Fantasy XI.

Now, on the flip side of the final Fantasy coin, we have got the impending DS title, The 4 Light Soldiers : Final Fantasy Gaiden. One glance at the screenshots, and you can tell this is meant to be a game that reaches back to the roots of Last Fantasy. There is a four personality party of “Light Warriors.” The game employs a job system and comes complete with wonderful lil’ costumes for every one. These costumes that represent roles, dubbed “Artifact Armor” in Last Fantasy XI, have been a favorite among players, though.

Per Last Fantasy XIV, we have seen a glance of what could be Black Mage Artifact Armor in the suggested art wall decoration, but their inclusion hasn’t been confirmed. While Last Fantasy Gaiden seems to keep the custom of job explicit costumes alive, there’s also a marked change in style. We haven’t seen a lot of the Last Fantasy XIV clothing, so one has to wonder if they’re going to make some creative alterations to what we are familiar with.

Some players have moaned the races are too like Last Fantasy XI and it makes the new MMO feel just like kind of a rehash. Would recycling Artifact Armor styles also generate criticism? Or, would the lack of the final Fantasy fashion we are so used to be even worse?

This week’s Famitsu also gave a glance of a “Crown” system which will permit Last Fantasy Gaiden players to switch roles. Developers for Last Fantasy XIV have also shown their interest in maintaining a job system of some type. While they wish to vary from the final Fantasy XI job system, they want to keep the flexibility it provided. It might be that changing a chunk of gear ,eg the weapons claimed to be so integral to one’s expansion, could make possible the changing of one’s job.
