Want to buy an account, but not sure if you can play it on your console system?

These are common questions asked above, so we figured we’d provide you a guide on how to properly play your FFXI account on your console system.

How it works?
PlayOnline is an application that works with Final Fantasy XI. Since XBOX does not control PlayOnline, they require that you purchase an online XBOX gamertag (no not GameTag :) ) for your ffxi account to work on the XBOX 360 console.

How do I purchase a gamertag?
It’s pretty simple. You are required to go to XBOX 360 website with the link provided at the bottom of the page. There you will be able to purchase a gamertag, and merge it with your ffxi accounts that you purchase.

The best place is to contact XBOX or PlayOnline directly for questions and answers on your final fantasy xi account.
